Please click HERE to see the colored OVERLAY chart for the Mystic Quadrate Wheel. It will help you navigate around the wheel alot easier.
HOW TO READ THE YEARLY CHART WHEEL
In the Mystic Quadrate wheel chart itself you will notice that it is set up similarly to an astrological wheel and its 12 houses. If you begin the 1st house at the 9:00 position and count the houses counterclockwise around the wheel, you will see that every house has its own ruler. Mercury period rules the first house, Venus period rules the second house, Mars period rules the third house, Jupiter period rules the 4th house, and so forth thru out the rest of the wheel. In order to understand the chart and its symbols, enter the birth date of George W. Bush (July 6, 1946) in the chart. We'll put his age in for the year 2000, which would make him 54 at the time. Now we will read the wheel starting from the very center, outwards.
THREE CIRCLES AT THE CENTER OF THE WHEEL
If you will look at the very center of the wheel, you will notice three circles there. The top circle should say 9 of Diamonds. This is his birth card. (You will also see that it is repeated again at the very top of the page in the Natal Birth Card box). Right underneath this circle you will see a small "s". This stands for the Soul card which is the Jack of Clubs. To the right you will see a small "L". This circle indicates the Life card, which is the Ten of Hearts.
SOUL CARD
Now moving outward in the chart wheel, you will see, starting with the first house, the cards - Queen of Clubs, King of Clubs, Ace of Diamonds, 2 of Diamonds, 3 of Diamonds and so forth around the wheel. These cards are the equivalent of the Soul card at the center of the wheel, except they belong to the card in the big circles that are within each house around the chart. For example, just as the Jack of Clubs belongs to the 9 of Diamonds, so does the Queen of Clubs belong to the Queen of Hearts in the first house as ITS Soul card. If we continue on to the second house, we can see that the King of Clubs is the Soul card for the 8 of Diamonds, which lies in the big circle for the 2nd house. And similarly, each card will have the same relationship to the card in the circle for that house as you move thru out the wheel.
DIRECT CARDS
For Bush's chart, at age 54, we would go to the 54th Quadrate and start counting the cards to the left of the natal birth card placement. This would give us the 12 Direct planetary cards that will fill in each one of those big circles in every house, starting with the first house. You can also double check this by clicking on the link that says PLATES (in blue) at the top of the chart. This will open up a Quadrate Plate window, where you can enter any Quadrate you need too look at. Make sure you have the 54th plate open by entering the number 54 in the box and pressing the TAB key. Then look for Bush's natal birth card, the 9 of Diamonds. Once you find it, start counting from the left of it horizontally. You will notice how each card corresponds to the card in the big circles that go around the chart starting from the 1st house, where you will see the Queen of Hearts in the first circle. Then the 8 of Diamonds for the second circle in the second house, then the 4 of Spades for the third circle of the third house, etc.
VERTICAL CARDS
Right outside of the big circle in every house is another Card placement. In Bush's chart, if you look at his first house, where the Direct Placement of the Queen of Hearts is, right outside of that circle is the 7 of Hearts. This indicates the Vertical placement for the natal birth card, 9 of Diamonds. To double check this we again go to the Quadrate window on the chart page and click on it. Go to the 54th Quadrate again and look for Bush's birth card, the 9 of Diamonds. Now count UPWARDS from the birth card and you will see how it corresponds to the cards right outside the big circles in every house. One of the things that separate this system from any other is that when counting verticals, we do NOT go back down to the same column again to continue the count upwards, but rather move over one to the LEFT and start counting from the bottom up again. This makes a big difference in the card layout!
SEASONAL CARDS
As we move outward in the wheel, you will see 4 divisions in each house as it goes from the first house to the 7th and stops. Each one of those divisions represents a time period of 13 days. All four divisions for each house totals a 52 day period. These are the equivalent time periods that are reflected in the boxes at the bottom of the chart page where it says Planetary Periods - 52 Days. These time periods are found by looking them up in tables which are included in Thomas Morell's books. As you can see in Bush's chart, the 5 of Hearts indicates the 1st 13 days of the Mercury period, the 3 of Spades indicates the 2nd "13 Day" span, the 6 of Diamonds indicates the 3rd "13 Day" time span and the Ace of Spades shows the last 13 days of the Mercury period. In order to find the equivalent date that this will fall, you merely look at the bottom boxes for the planetary periods and see what month and day it falls into for that year. Another thing to note is that if you total up all these divisions from the first house to the 7th, you will come out to a full year or 364 days (not including leap year).
THE OUTERS
The outer cards are represented by the circles in grey in the upper part of the chart. You will notice that they do not have the smaller divisions in each of them as they indicate what will happen as an overall yearly indicator, each one casting its own influence for that particular year ahead. These include (starting at the 8th house), Pluto, Trans-Pluto, Magi Crown, the Moon, and Phoenix.
LIFE CARDS
At the outer rim of the wheel, you will see cards that circumvent the outside of the chart. For example you will see the 10 of Diamonds between Mercury and Venus in the first house. Then you will see the 8 of Spades in the second house between Venus and Mars, then the Ace of Hearts between Mars and Jupiter, etc., around the wheel. These cards are known as the LIFE cards. They belong to the card in the big circle for each house, similar to the way the Life card, 10 of Hearts, belongs to the 9 of Diamonds in the center circle of the chart. In Bush's chart, the Life Card belongs to the Queen of Hearts in his first house; the 8 of Spades belongs to the 8 of Diamonds in the second house; the Ace of Hearts belongs to the 4 of Spades in the 3rd house, etc.
PLANETARY SYMBOLS
Starting from the first house placement which is read at the 9:00 position, you will see a symbol. This is the symbol for Mercury. The second house symbol is Venus; the third house symbol is Mars; the fourth house symbol is Jupiter; the 5th house symbol is Saturn; the 6th house is represented by Uranus; the 7th house symbol is Neptune. From the 8th house on, the name of the symbol is listed in the particular house that it represents.
4- YEAR CARD
At the upper left portion of the chart wheel is a box labeled 4 -Year Card. It represents the Saturn cycle of 28 years. Each of the 7 planetary periods in a Saturn progression would have an influence of 4 years (28 divided by 7 equals 4). There are two cards in the 4 Year box. The upper card represents the Direct placement and the lower card represents the Vertical placement. At the right of this box you will see P/Q. The 'P" indicates that the period that rules this 4 year time in Bush's life is Neptune. Neptune is 7 positions over from the Mercury position as you can see in the Planetary 52 Days period table at the bottom of the page. The "Q" indicates that this is the Quadrate to look for his birth card for this 4- year card. You can double check this by clicking the Quadrate window at the top of the page labeled PLATES. Go to the first Plate and look up his birth card, the 9 of Diamonds. Because the Neptune period is 7 positions over from the Mercury one, we count 7 positions to the left (not counting the birth card), which will indicate the 8 of Diamonds. If we count it vertically UP for the vertical placement, you will end up at the 5 of Clubs which represents the bottom card in the box.
13- YEAR CARD
At the upper right hand corner of the chart, you will see a box labeled "13 year Card". This box reflects the Life Progression which is a 91- year influence, broken down to 7 planetary periods of 13 years each. In Bush's chart, we can see that the planetary period that rules this time in his life is Saturn. Look to the bottom of the chart again and note where Saturn falls in relation to the Mercury column. It is 5 positions over. Being that this is a Life progression, you will always refer to the Life Quadrate as it spans the whole life, in groups of 13 years, for each planetary period. To double check, go to Plate 0 on the Quadrate window (which is the same as the Life Quadrate) and look up the 9 of Diamonds, Bush's birth card. Since Saturn is 5 positions over from the Mercury column, use that amount of placements to count over for his direct card. You will see that it comes to the 4 of Hearts. For the vertical placement, count UP 5 positions to get the Queen of Clubs.
SYNASTRY CARD
This card is easy to find. Simply look at Bush's birth card in his 54th Quadrate and note the card just before it in the Quadrate. In his case, it will be the 10 of Hearts. The Synastry Card represents a supportive influence in the person's life and can be used with wisdom and intuition to really move ahead. It acts as a helping hand to get you where you want to go.
YEARLY CARD
At the bottom right of the wheel you will see a box labeled the Yearly Card. It is the equivalent of a Solar Progression and rules the 7 planetary periods of 52 days or the overall year in question in the person's life. At the left of this box you will see P/Q again. This indicates that in Bush's chart, Uranus rules the year for him and is found in the 7th Quadrate. To double check this, simply look for his birth card in 7th Quadrate and since Uranus lies 6 positions over from Mercury at the bottom of the Planetary Periods table chart on the page, you count over 6 spaces for the direct planet, which comes to the 3 of Spades. Then count up 6 spaces for the Vertical placement which comes to the 2 of Hearts.
PLANETARY PERIODS TABLE
As previously indicated, this table divides up the first 7 houses of the wheel into specific time periods that are ruled by the planets that head each house for that time frame. The birth date of the person will always be the first date in the Mercury period box. The second date is 52 days away from the birth date which comes to August 27th and is ruled by his Venus period. The next period of Mars is again 52 days away from the Venus period and so forth down the line.
PLANETARY SIGN CARD
The Planetary Sign Card box is found at the top portion of the page right under the natal birth card box, which is the 9 of Diamonds in his chart. The Queen of Hearts is his Planetary Sign card and acts as an important secondary influence in the chart or simply something else that is going on at the same time as other important events in his life. It is the card in the Life Chart that falls under the planetary position that rules the Sign of the Zodiac that the person is born under.
PLANETARY NUMBER CARD
Underneath the Planetary Sign Card is the Planetary Number Card. It is simply the card in the Life Chart or Spread that falls under the planetary position that rules (by planet), the number of the day that the person was born on. He was born on the number "6" day. Therefore the card that rules this number for his birth card, the 9 of Diamonds, is the 2 of Clubs and is indicated in this box.
SPIRIT RETURN
At the upper right hand corner of the page you will see the Spirit Return box. In order to find this, you go to the Spirit Plate and look for his birth card, the 9 of Diamonds. Note the placement of it and then flip back to his 54th Quadrate. The card that is now in that placement becomes the Spirit Return. In Bush's chart this will be the 9 of Spades.
RETURN CARDS
On the right hand side of the page going down in a column of planetary periods are the Return Cards. These are simply the cards that have fallen in the boxes occupied by the original life Chart. In order to find the Return Cards for Bush's chart, go to his 54th Quadrate and look for his birth card in the Life position, which is the smaller card in the lower right hand position of the card. You will find this card for Bush's chart on the Uranus row, Mars column. The bigger card says King of Hearts in it. This represents the Sun Return card and falls in the first position. The planet to the left of it in a Direct format would be the King of Clubs for the Mercury Return card. This continues on as if we were doing a direct array, until the boxes are filled. Each card then represents the return for that planetary period.
QUADRATE PLATES
At the top of the page, you will see a little blue link that will open up a window showing the Quadrates. You can select any number Quadrate of your choice. Simply enter a number up to 90 and press the TAB key. This will open up the correct Quadrate. If you want the SPIRIT plate, just enter SP and it will take you there. If you want the LIFE plate, enter the number zero as this is the same plate.
HOW TO PRINT OUT THE CHART
In order to get the background image to print out with the birth data from your browser when you hit the PRINT button, you must do the following first:
1. Go into your browser and click on the "Tools" Menu
2. Select "Internet options"
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
4. Scroll down to where you can check to "Print Background Colors and Images"
This should now allow you to print out everything on the page. If you do not do this, you will simply get the data itself and not the background image of the wheel image!
SUGGESTIONS TO MAKE YOUR PROGRAM RUN BETTER
A few suggestions to get this site to work properly for you.
1) You should have an updated browser – preferably Internet Explorer 6.0 and above, if you are on a PC. You can download the latest version for free at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/ie6/default.asp . Netscape and AOL’s browser will not render it correctly, so we strongly discourage you from trying to access the site with those browsers. If you have a Mac, it will work, but you should use Internet Explorer 5.2, which only works on Max OS X. You can download the Mac version of Internet Explorer at Mactopia (see http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/ie/ie_main.asp?embFName=get.asp&contonly=1 ).
2) You must have scripting activated as it makes extensive use of Javascript.
3) It is also suggested that you use a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. It will work on other resolutions, but you’ll have to scroll around more to view everything.
4) If you want to be able to print the charts, you must enable background image printing. To do this, click “Tools” on your browser menu bar. Then, select “Internet Options”. After that panel comes up, click “Advanced” tab. Finally, scroll down to the Printing category and check “Print background colors and images”. Note: You only have to do this once. Your browser will remember this setting and it will always print background images until you go in and uncheck the box I just indicated.
5) This web program required a lot of code and is about 300K in size. So, be patient on how long it takes to download for you. The first time will take the longest as nothing is yet cached locally on your machine. Many people expect web programs to execute as fast as web pages that are nothing more than static text and images. That is not realistic as this web program must perform complex calculations, and dynamically load many images, in order to deliver the chart you’re requesting.
In anticipation of certain questions, this site has been encrypted and the right mouse clicking has been disabled. Also, it will not work outside of this site. So, it cannot be saved for offline use. The reasons are that it took a lot of work and we're not willing to let someone else just download it and put it on their own site without proper credit or compensation. So, this will work fine as long as you access it from this site and you have an upgraded browser.
Have fun.
Your resident web developers,
Ron Grimes, Donna Quinn
MANY THANKS!
This program has come about thru the hard earned efforts of Thomas Morrell, who researched and came up with the Mystic Quadrate System and has made this all possible. All the information that is contained in this program comes from his books and research efforts. Thanks Thomas!
Secondly, without the programming expertise of Ron Grimes, this would definitely not be a reality at this present time and to him we ALL owe a debt of gratitude for not only the time he has put into not only THIS program for free, but the CARD OF YOUR NAME program and the COMPOSITE NAME program as well. Thanks Ron! I couldn't have done it without you. . . .

Thanks Ron! I couldn't have done it without you. . . .
