Preliminaries Used for Evaluating Assessments:
1. Orbs are defined only when specific orbs are set for the calculations.
2. Hard Aspects include all the 30 Degree angles – more specifically: Opposition, Square, Quincunx and Conjunctions. (I have not included any of the many non-equal degree aspects).
3. Parallels (//) and Contra-Parallels (\\) are used as Hard Aspects ONLY when Saturn is involved in the planetary configuration, otherwise they are considered Soft Aspects.
4. Soft Aspects include all 30 Degree Angles – Specifically: Trine, Sextile, Semi-Sextile, Parallel and Contra-Parallel.
5. Keep in mind that the conjunction may not actually reflect the best statistical “breakdown” when it comes to differentiating between “soft and hard” aspects – which I did differentiate against in some cases. This is due to the fact that the actual impact of the conjunction – whether beneficial or challenging – is largely dependent on the conjoined planets involved. So the overall hits (contacts) – whether hard or soft - may actually reflect better parameters for assessments and evaluations.
6. A multitude of Controls have been established below. Many of the controls have been broken down further to fine tune the assessments. As we are all independent thinkers, please feel free to eliminate those Controls that you feel hold no particular value for you.
7. And lastly, some configurations requested for evaluation (such as sub lords, and certain other configurations between two planets – for example - Part of Fortune) could not be included in this phase of the Research due to the fact that the options for exporting/importing charts do not include options for ALL the various Vedic Software Programs that one may have, and therefore I elected to use the route that was most time efficient. Therefore out of my choices for exporting/importing my own charts, the available Vedic database I elected to use to calculate these charts was SJS (Shri Jyoti Star, which has no PF calculation availability). Also, I could have added more charts from my personal database, but thought this number was sufficient for now, as some of the numbers (below) are quite surprising (and enlightening) - as I suspected they would be. At any rate, unless (or until) I find the time to go through these 2136 charts by hand, these calculations will have to suffice for now. For your convenience, I have also calculated the total percentage of hits (last column) on the data I worked with below
