Realizing that the arguments advanced on that site may not always be there, I have replicated my posting here.

Notes

* I have only recently started referring to this rectified USA chart as the "Grimes' USA Chart", and reluctantly so. I had not been in the practice of prefixing my name to the chart for about seven years now. I changed this practice in late 2003, not to build up my own name, but because it avoids confusion for newcomers who might otherwise assume "USA Chart" has something to do with all the other charts out there centered around a 1776 date.
