For Magi Dek Quads: Book 2, page 25
1. This creates a situation where the number of degrees separating A and D is equal to the number of degrees separating B and C.
2. Also both A and B, as well as C and D are separated by the same number of degrees.
3. Therefore Magi Quads and Magi Dek Quads are mathematically equal.
Rule # 1: Example: Chart 8, page 36 Book 2: Longitude Magi Quad:
Magi Quad “pair” A and D is separated from the Magi Quad “pair” of B and C by 20 degrees. The midpoints are conjunct.
Example 2: Chart 21A (page 42) MDQ rules 1 and 2 apply.
362. Focal Planets: Book 2; page 83: A Focal Planet of a birth chart is any planet that is a component of 2 or more of the first 6 Magi Quads in the Occurring Magi Sequence.
363. There may be different focal planets for the declinations versus the longitudes.
364. There is usually more than 1 Focal Planet in the birth chart.
365. Astrologers must therefore concentrate attention on the symbolisms and rulerships of the Focal Planets in the overall interpretation of the entire birth chart. The more times a planet repeats as a component of any M/Q in the entire Occurring Magi Sequence, the more influence it has on the chart.
For Magi Dek Quads: Book 2, page 25
- 1st pairing call A & D
- 2nd pairing call B & C
- The difference between point A and B should be the same as the difference between C and D.
- Midpoint of A and D is parallel to the midpoint of B and C
