287. It is necessary to understand the symbolisms of different pairings of planets in order to combine them to interpret a complete MQ. (Page 48, Book 2).
288. Midpoint Equivalence: Book 2: Page 29
289. 45 degree and 135 degree contacts are slightly negative in natural (Hamburg School) while all contacts at a multiple of 30 degrees are beneficial in varying strengths.
290. Magi Theory of Midpoint Equivalence states: “Every midpoint acts as if it were a planet. All midpoints influence planets and other midpoints under the same rules as planets themselves. All midpoints are influenced by planets and other midpoints are under the same rules as planets themselves. Contacts of 45 degrees and 135 degrees are secondary, and less important than the 30 degree multiples contacts.
291. Midpoints are always 2: the far midpoint and the near midpoint. Both far and near midpoints are exactly equivalent and therefore are interchangeable.
292. Midpoint Projection: The near and far midpoint exists concurrently; midpoints project and are simultaneously at the far and near locations.
293. Chart 1: Book 2, page 9: Therefore this has the Jupiter + Pluto midpoint conjunct both 00 degrees Leo and 00 degrees Aquarius at the same time. Jupiter + Pluto midpoint in Chart 1 is trine also 00 degrees Aries and 00 degrees Gemini at the same time.
294. We never say a midpoint is opposed to any planet or location – we call it a conjunction because it is always an enhancement.
295. Similarly, if a near midpoint is sextile to any planet, it means that it is also trine to the planet. Therefore we always choose to call such an alignment a “trine” rather than a “sextile” because the overall alignment is an enhancement.
296. Projection: Example: When a near midpoint is at 15 degrees of a male sign, the midpoint is in enhancement aspect to any planet that is at 15 degrees of a male sign. This concept we call Projection.
297. Use midpoint transits by following the performance of professional athletes. The one we suggest is the midpoint of Venus-Neptune to natal Mars. In our research we have found that while the transiting Venus-Neptune midpoint is applying to an exact enhancement aspect (0, 20, 120, and 180 degrees in the longitudes, and parallel or contra-parallel in the declinations) to any athletes natal Mars, the athlete performs noticeably better that s/he usually does. It can be any enhancement aspect because of Projection.
298. We use the term CROSSING to denote what occurs when a planet and a midpoint are at an angle to each other, and this angle is in multiples of 30 degrees.
