269. All MQ’s are astrological aspects. They are like aspects in all ways.
1. They both have influence because planets are working together.
2. They both vary in power and vary in the type of influence they have, depending on which planets form the MQ or aspect.
3. They are both consistent with the symbolism of astrology.
270. MQ’s are aspects comprised of at least 4 planets. Therefore, MQ’s are Multiple Planet Aspects.
271. MQ’s have orbs. Midpoint conjunction of MQ orb s 2 to 2.50 degrees, depending on which planets are involved.
272. The tighter the orb of the MQ, the greater the power.
273. Magi Quads in declinations are Magi Dek Quads or MDQ’s.
274. Magi Dek quads are also formed when 2 midpoints are in parallel to each other, and the 2 midpoints are formed by 4 different planets.
275. The number of degrees separating one planet of a pairing from a planet of the other pairing will always be the same number of degrees separating the remaining 2 planets that form the MQ.
276. Longitude MQ’s create a symmetrical quadrangle. Magi Dek Quads are similar (See charts 21a – 21c, Book 2, page 42 –43). Midpoints of A and D are parallel to midpoints of B and C.
277. Both MQ’s and MDQ’s are mathematically equivalent.
278. Visually, there is an important difference between the way we visually represent MQ’s as opposed to MDQ’s. It is important to understand and remember that when the lines are drawn to connect the 4 planets, in the case of the MDQ, the paired planets are connected by the diagonal lines and not the parallel lines like in the longitudinal MQ’s.
279. The actual pairings of planets are vital to interpretations of MQ’s and MDQ’s.
