Transit Observations
Using the example of KP Chart for Bhatt's Horoscope 1 (below), let us observe what we should be looking for with respect to transiting planets, and what effects they will impact through their transit placements in different areas of the chart.
Let’s first track the Sun. In KP Chart for Bhatt's Horoscope 1, we note that the Sun is significator for the affairs of houses 10, 6, 3, 12, and 8. Therefore, whenever any planet transits in the star area of the Sun, it will influence the matters signified by houses 10, 6, 3, 12, and 8.
For example: Look at the KP Star and Sub Lord Table and note that the Star area of the Sun involves the Nakshatras of Krittika, U. Phalguni, and Uttarashadha. The exact degrees of these areas owned by the Sun are 26 degrees Aries 40 minutes to 10 degrees Taurus 00 minutes, 26 degrees Leo 40 minutes to 10 Virgo degrees 00 minutes, and 26 degrees Sagittarius 40 minutes to 10 degrees Capricorn 00 minutes. These are the Star areas of the Sun. So whenever a planet transits in these same Star area owned by the Sun, because the Sun is significator for the 10th, 6th, 3rd, 12th, and 8th houses in this Chart, the planet transiting through this area will have influence over the affairs of the houses that the Sun is significator for, or in other words, houses 10, 6, 3, 12, and 8.
The Table below will easily give reference to what areas will be affected in the KP Chart for Bhatt's Horoscope 1 when a planet transits in the various Star areas of each planet. See Bhatt's Effective Significator's Table below the Transit Table 1.
To personalize the Transit Table when analyzing charts - either your own or another's - just change the houses in Column 4 ('Will Impact Houses') to reflect the significators of the chart you are currently working on. I have included a link to blank Transit Tables I and II at the bottom of this article, for your convenience when working on a chart of your choice.

KP Bhatt's Horoscope #1
Transit Table 1
Using the Table above, we can see that when any planet transits in the Star of Rahu, it will influence houses 2, 6, 7, and 9 – the houses Rahu signifies in this chart.
In this Horoscope, health issues are indicated, and Saturn, Venus, Moon, and Rahu are significators of ill health (house 6). Their Sub Lords are also malefic due to the fact that they are connected with either house 6 or 8 – or both. So Saturn, Venus, Moon and Rahu are strongly evil for matters affecting the health.
Therefore, the planets transiting in the Star areas of Saturn, Venus, Moon, and/or Rahu will not have a good effect on the native’s health.
In this Horoscope, the native is running a joint period (dasa) of Ra/Ra/Sa from October 8, 1973 through March 12, 1974. So the planets transiting in the Star area of Rahu and/or Saturn will give the same results indicated by the Dasa of Ra/Ra/Sa if the Sub Lords of these transiting planets are not detrimental to the matters indicated by the Dasa period rulers* for example, the Dasa of Rahu. Effective Significator Table
Therefore, the planets transiting in the Star area (Nakshatra) of Rahu and/or Saturn will give the same results that are indicated by the Dasa of Ra/Ra/Sa if the Sub Lords of these transiting planets are not detrimental to the matters indicated by the Dasa period rulers - for example - the Dasa period of Rahu.
This indicates that Rahu and Saturn are not favorable for the health of this native. Therefore, during his Ra/Ra Dasa, between the dates of approximately November 20, 1973 and December 2, 1973 when the Sun was transiting in Scorpio, between 03 degrees 20 minutes and 16 degrees 40 minutes in the Star of Saturn, and in particular during the Subs of Saturn (Saturn is the significator for the 6th and 8th houses), Mercury (Mercury is the significator for the 1st and 6th houses), and Ketu (significator for the Maraka 7th house and the Badhaka 11th house), the native suffered a great deal from asthmatic conditions.
Do pay attention to the position of the transiting planets and to the Sub Lords of these transiting planets. You can personalize Transit Table I and Transit Table II (see Tables below) for your own chart, or the chart that you are currently working on. For your convenience, I have constructed Table Table II (below) to enable you to easily list the transit positions of the planets (and their Star and Sub Lords), enabling you to more easily track transit activity in any given chart. Remember to pay attention to the Sub Lords of these transiting planets to ensure that they are not detrimental to the matters indicated by the Dasa period rulers.
This Table below can be used in conjunction with the blank Transit Table I that follows Transit Table II. In Table I, you only need to fill in the appropriate house numbers in column 4 - to do that just check which house each planet is significator for, and fill in column 4 "Will Impact Houses".
